What does Community Life look like specifically at Khesed?
We desire our Community Life at Khesed to reflect God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. It’s a transformative space where we are shaped into the likeness of Jesus for the sake of others. In our community people are invited to be both vulnerable and courageous, sharing their stories openly, just as they are.
A place to belong and grow…
Community is the pathway to growth. We were never meant to walk the journey of faith alone. Being part of a community provides a sense of belonging. It cultivates meaningful relationships where we can practice living like Jesus while feeling comforted, encouraged, and challenged to live our faith alongside others. This ultimately equips us to serve others, fulfilling Jesus’ call to love God and our neighbor.
How do I participate?
At Kehsed, there are several ways to engage in Community Life, each designed to help you grow in your faith and relationships with others:
Life Groups
Life Groups are long-term, community-based gatherings where people can build deep relationships, learn together, and support one another over time. They are a great way to experience ongoing discipleship in a close-knit environment.
We aim to organize life groups by life stage and location to foster meaningful connections. Our life groups are primarily for adults, while Jr. High and High School students are encouraged to engage in our KSM community. Families are responsible for their own childcare arrangements, whether by including their children, hiring a sitter, coordinating as a group, or swapping with another family.
How can I lead a Life Group?
Becoming a Life Group leader begins with a heart to serve and guide others in their walk with Jesus. If you feel called, seek God’s direction, engage in a group, learn from seasoned leaders, and let the Community Life team know of your interest here. Khesed Church offers training and support, so you’ll never lead alone. Our leaders are dedicated to growing in faith, loving others, and cultivating a flourishing kingdom community.
I'd Like to Lead a GroupClasses
If you prefer more focused, content-based learning for a medium to short duration, classes, and courses provide structured teaching and practical tools for specific growth areas, practicing spiritual formation, or biblical study. Throughout the year we offer classes and courses such as Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Financial Peace, Divorce Care, and more!
Studies
These are short-term, facilitated discussion-based gatherings where you can engage deeply with specific topics or scripture in a smaller, interactive setting. Studies are perfect for those who want a flexible, topic-driven experience. We have multiple women’s, men’s, and everyone book and Bible studies throughout the year.
