A Note From Pastor Danny

My name is Danny, and I’m the lead pastor here at Khesed and the primary teaching pastor at our Uptown campus. I’m grateful to be part of this beautiful community, which loves, serves, and cares for one another no matter where they come from or what they are going through.

A little about me… I have worked in full-time, vocational ministry for almost 25 years. My wife, Erin, and I, together with a few other families, founded Khesed 15 years ago. We started in the rec room of a community center and, through God’s gracious provision, have watched as God grew that vibrant, scrappy group into something only He could imagine.

I have one overarching hope for this place and that is that it will bring as much glory to God as possible. I have a passion for teaching, music, art, prayer, and the people who call this place home. And so, this is a large part of what we lean into here at Khesed. Each service experience, prayer group, worship night, or Bible study is a reflection of the people God is using at that moment and at that time. Each space is unique for meeting the needs present in each room we gather within. Khesed isn’t a cardboard cutout with all its edges smoothed off. Instead, it’s full of authentic people with scars and stories. Because of this, it is often messy and a little misshapen. When we can accept this about ourselves, it makes getting to know and being known by others a little bit easier.

If any of this fits well with what you are learning about yourself, I would love to welcome you to visit and invite you to bring your spiritual curiosity, ask your questions, learn, and maybe sit in some tension over things you might disagree with. You don’t need to change who you are to come to Khesed. I hope you will take a chance and give this ‘being known’ thing a try, and discover what God wants to reveal about Himself to you through His people, His Word, and His love.
